Shane Harpham, DDS
Dr. Shane Harpham (Dr. Shane), DDS is a board-certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is the past President of the South Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is the South Carolina state representative for the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Shane and his wife, Melissa, are excited to have called Bluffton and Hilton Head their home for the past ten years and have enjoyed involving themselves in such a wonderful and growing community. They enjoy traveling; spending time with their three children, Calista, Caleb and their most recent addition, Capri; and are actively involved with their local church, where Dr. Shane plays acoustic guitar for the worship team. Dr. Shane has a passion for hockey and has also played in the Savannah Roller Hockey League. His son Caleb plays ice hockey in Jacksonville, Florida. Sea Smiles Pediatric Dentistry will also be the Davey’s Matey’s Kids Club main Co-Sponsor for the Savannah Ghost Pirates next season!
Recently, they have created a non-profit organization called Sea Kids Smile Worldwide and are excited to help children both locally and globally who are in need of oral health care.
Dr. Candace
Dr. Candace was born and raised in Georgia! She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Mercer University, where she proudly cheered for the Bears. She loved being involved in creating an exciting game day environment and brings that same enthusiasm and positivity into the office.
She went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree and completed her pediatric dental residency at the Dental College of Georgia, where she served as a Chief Resident. During residency, she led Bible studies and took part in mission trips to Nicaragua and Peru — experiences that deepened her desire to serve both locally and globally.
Dr. Candace is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Candace enjoys beach days, visiting farmers markets, painting, traveling and spending time with her family and dog, Frannie. She aims to put God first in all she does. She is passionate about creating a joyful environment, treating her patients with respect, compassion, and empathy. Dr. Candace is excited to make Bluffton her new home!
